In 2003, Kacie Malouf and her husband Sam started a small business that would grow into Malouf Companies™, a Certified B Corporation™ based in northern Utah, with operations in consumer products, technology, retail, logistics, and venture. In 2016, to formalize the company’s charitable efforts, Kacie and Sam created the Malouf Foundation™ to confront sexual exploitation. Kacie was named one of the “30 Women to Watch” in 2020 by Utah Business Magazine, and she and Sam were named “Entrepreneurs of the Year” by the Mountain West Capital Network in 2022.

The abduction of Elizabeth Smart was one of the most followed child abduction cases of our time. Elizabeth was abducted on June 5, 2002 and endured daily sexual assault, starvation, and abuse for nine months. Elizabeth returned back to her family on March 12, 2003 and went on to testify before her captors, which led to their convictions. Through this experience, Elizabeth has become an advocate for change and has helped promote the international AMBER Alert system, the Adam Walsh Child Protection & Safety Act, and other safety legislation to help prevent abductions.

Clay Olsen has led non-profit and for-profit initiatives related to mental health and sexual exploitation for over 15 years. Clay has presented on these topics to thousands, including events at the United Nation, World of Congress Families, Carnegie Mellon, with the Kansas City Royals, and the Set Free Global Summit. He is also Founder of Impact Suite, a modern mental wellness company addressing emotional health through preventative technology and professional care. In 2017, he was honored with the “Visionary Leadership Award” by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation; and in 2021, he was recognized as one of Utah’s top professionals with the “40 Under 40 Award.”

Jeff Steed is a recognized law practitioner and economist, frequently contributing to scholarship in a variety of practice areas, including venture capital, government affairs, global trade, and corporate social responsibility. He is a board member of the World Trade Center of Utah, the Huntsman Venture Forum at Utah State University, and the Salt Lake Chamber. Jeff has been recognized as a “Legal Elite” by Utah Business and a “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers Magazine. He was recently named as “Top Corporate Counsel in Utah,” also by Utah Business.

Recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama and the White House, Dr. Brook Parker-Bello is a survivor and champion against human trafficking. Her experience as an actress, justice advocate, and thought leader allows her to bring critical perspective, depth, and engagement to the root causes of human trafficking, which highlights avenues for prevention and victim services. An alumnus of the Master’s Series of Distinguished Leaders, Brook holds a U.S. Patent in Technology and is the creator of groundbreaking software in mental healthcare, case management, AI, and machine-learning virtual reality.
