Rooms Restored™
Rooms Restored™ is a charitable service dedicated to creating restorative spaces for individuals, especially children, who’ve endured sexual abuse by providing individual room restorations and advocacy program renovations. The majority of child sexual abuse happens within a home, and as a result, a child’s bedroom often becomes a trigger, forcing them to relive their trauma and postponing their recovery.
Services through Rooms Restored™ include consultations for interior decorating and the provision of household furnishings, which help create a new space that supports the healing process. All services are conducted through a safe, trauma-informed process to protect the child and family’s privacy.
Rooms Restored™ primarily serves children between the ages of 8-17 with diverse backgrounds. The program also serves adults who visit advocacy and therapy centers. Those served usually come to Rooms Restored™ through partner referrals that are on the front end of confronting sexual exploitation. Due to its broad nature, the program serves all income, employment, and educational demographics.
